Rules
You don't want to find that the great dorm bedroom design you created has to come down once the dean gets a look at it. To avoid that, be sure that you follow the rules from the beginning. When you moved in, you certainly were briefed on the regulations for dorm bedroom furniture and decorations. It is likely that you were too excited to absorb all of those rules. Play it safe and go to the dorm supervisor and ask for a list. Most dorms will not allow you to make any permanent changes to the room. The use of nails, push pins, or tape for wall hangings is usually out. Also, hot plates are dangerous and disallowed.
